The new portfolio includes G200, G210C, G210, and G210X models with cybersecurity, safety and OPC UA features.
Siemens has introduced the next generation of Sinamics G drives for continuous-motion applications. The new portfolio is intended to address the needs of machine builders and plant operators who are working to improve productivity, energy efficiency, cybersecurity and flexibility while reducing development time and engineering effort. The platform covers a range of power and application requirements and is designed to provide a consistent approach to engineering and operation.
The new generation is built around three main areas: security by design, integrated safety functions and digitalization for transparency and maintenance management.

The scalable drive platform is intended to help machine builders standardize automation solutions and prepare for future requirements. Cybersecurity was included in development from the outset. All new generation drives are intended to be EU Cyber Resilience Act-ready and to provide cybersecurity capabilities up to Security Level Capability 2, as defined in IEC 62443-4-2.
Integrated safety functions up to Safety Integrity Level 3 are intended to support functional safety for people, machines and plants. The new generation also combines digital integration with a common engineering and operating concept. Integration into TIA Portal, an integrated web server and a unified engineering and operating approach are intended to support selection, engineering, commissioning, diagnostics and service. The drives are also designed to support the use of drive and operational data through OPC UA for asset management, energy management, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
With the Sinamics G200, G210C, G210 and G210X, Siemens completes the next generation of its Sinamics G portfolio around the Sinamics G220, which was introduced in 2023. The Sinamics G200 is intended for general-purpose industrial applications. The Sinamics G210C is intended for compact machines with higher power density and overload requirements. The Sinamics G210 is a general-purpose drive for moving, positioning and processing applications. The Sinamics G210X is intended for pump, fan, compressor and other infrastructure applications. Together, these drives form a portfolio for continuous-motion applications based on a common technology platform.
