KOMSA will support selected partners through planning, commissioning and customer acceptance.

KOMSA GmbH and KUKA Group have announced a strategic partnership focused on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The companies plan to make automation solutions available to a broader range of customers in Germany.
KUKA Group will contribute its mobile robotics portfolio and automation expertise. KOMSA will provide its sales structure, reseller network, systems integrator relationships and experience in bringing new technologies to market through indirect sales channels. The partnership is intended to make mobile robotics easier to access, integrate and scale for a wider range of businesses. It is also meant to lower barriers to adoption for SMEs while giving IT resellers and system integrators additional automation offerings.

Automation reaches new customer segments
Artificial intelligence, robotics and automation are being used by businesses of different sizes beyond traditional industrial applications. Labor shortages, higher costs and demand for efficiency and flexibility are contributing to adoption. SMEs represent a market for scalable solutions, especially in material handling and logistics. Autonomous mobile robots can be used as an entry point into automation and can complement existing operations.
The launch will be supported by a joint partner program that includes training and certification. As the center of competence for KUKA Group’s mobile robotics solutions, KOMSA will support selected channel partners during planning, implementation, commissioning and customer acceptance as needed. Initial pilot projects are already underway.
