The new converter and servomotors target 24 V and 48 V AGVs and AMRs with integrated safety and TIA Portal support.

Siemens is adding the Sinamics E210 converter and Simotics E-1EE1 servomotors to its drive portfolio for extra-low-voltage applications. The combination is intended for battery-powered mobile systems such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and driverless transport systems. It provides an integrated drive setup that can reduce engineering effort and support the implementation of safety functions. The system is designed for integration with TIA Portal and the Simove modular system.
Sinamics E210: Compact ELV converter for mobile applications
The Sinamics E210 is designed for 24 V and 48 V battery-powered applications. As a regenerative converter, it supports control of traction and wheel drives as well as steering, lifting and auxiliary axes. Direct connection to ELV battery systems removes the need for additional voltage conversion, which simplifies system design and can improve energy efficiency. The converter includes safety functions, PROFIsafe support and PROFINET IRT communication, and it can be integrated into TIA Portal and Simove.
Simotics E-1EE1: Servomotors for ELV applications
With the Simotics E-1EE1 motors in shaft heights 40 to 63, Siemens is extending its ELV motor range into higher power and torque levels. The motors are intended for 24 V and 48 V systems and are matched to the Sinamics E210. An absolute 14-bit BiSS-C safety encoder and a dual-channel internal design support safety-related applications up to SIL 2. An electronic nameplate allows the Sinamics E210 to read motor data automatically during parameterization. Optional holding brakes, gearbox variants and connection options allow adaptation to different vehicle and machine designs.
Integrated drive system for mobile intralogistics
Together, the Sinamics E210 converter and Simotics E-1EE1 motors form an integrated drive solution for mobile intralogistics systems. The combined setup brings together drive control, safety functions and automation integration in a single platform for AGVs, AMRs and other mobile machines. It is intended to reduce integration work and support scalable system designs for future automation, safety and cybersecurity requirements.
