Nemetschek expands AI tools across building workflows

The Max lineup includes Archicad Max, Allplan Max and Bluebeam Max on a shared AI and data platform.

The Nemetschek Group, a provider of AI and software solutions for architecture, engineering, construction and media, is outlining the next phase of its AI strategy with premium AI offerings across its core segments: Archicad Max for architecture, Allplan Max for engineering and Bluebeam Max for construction. All three are based on the Nemetschek Intelligence Platform, the Group’s shared AI and data foundation, and are designed to automate repetitive work, make project information easier to access, improve quality and keep professionals responsible for decisions.

Architecture, engineering and construction firms are managing more complex projects, tighter schedules and staffing constraints. A significant amount of time is still spent searching for information, checking models and drawings and repeating routine tasks. The Max offerings are designed to support those workflows within the tools teams already use and without requiring customers to move their data into a single vendor environment.

With Archicad Max, Allplan Max and Bluebeam Max, the Nemetschek Group is adding AI functions to tools used across the building lifecycle, from early design to construction.

Archicad Max

Design support for architects

Graphisoft’s premium Archicad subscription is intended for data-driven practices working on complex projects. It includes an agentic AI Assistant in beta that can perform multi-step tasks in the Archicad model, AI Assistant Spaces that use a firm’s standards and project knowledge as a reference and an updated AI Visualizer with current image models. Archicad Max also includes early access to the Nemetschek Creator, the Group’s browser-based platform for early-stage design, with full access planned for the commercial release in 2027.

Allplan Max

AI for engineering workflows

Allplan Max 2027, launched alongside Allplan 2027, extends AI across the Group’s engineering portfolio including Allplan, SCIA, FRILO, RISA and SDS2. It is intended to support connected model, analysis and fabrication workflows. Capabilities include Feature Builder, AI BIM Modeler, AI Visualizer, AI Formula Writer, AI BIM Analyst, AI Structural Analyst, AI Drafter and AI Coach. Early beta users reported up to 36 percent faster completion of selected tasks. Engineers remain responsible for design intent, review, approval and final outcomes.

Bluebeam Max

Productivity tools for construction teams

Bluebeam Max has been available globally since May 2026 and extends Bluebeam Revu with Smart Review for identifying design discrepancies, scope gaps and missing information, Smart Overlay for comparing drawing sets, Magic Markups for automating repetitive markup and takeoff tasks and stitching for combining drawing sheets into a single navigable view for large infrastructure projects. More than 2,000 early adopters reported productivity gains in preconstruction, design coordination and construction management. Since September 2026, Bluebeam Max has also been available at no cost to eligible students and educators worldwide.

Open by design

AI that connects across tools

Openness has been a long-standing principle at the Nemetschek Group and that approach also applies to its AI strategy. Rather than placing customers in a closed environment, the Max offerings are designed to work across tools, vendors and project partners:

  • Open AI connectivity: MCP is used by the Nemetschek AI Assistant to interact with software and also provides access for third-party AI applications. Archicad Max includes a public Archicad MCP Server in beta that connects desktop AI applications directly to the Archicad model. Bluebeam Max supports the Model Context Protocol for Anthropic Claude, GitHub Copilot CLI and AnythingLLM, allowing natural-language prompts to generate markups and project insights.
  • Cross-vendor workflows: Connected Studio Sessions link Bluebeam markups to the correct location in Revit drawing and model views, connecting PDF and BIM workflows across authoring tools.
  • Open standards and Open BIM: As a long-time supporter of Open BIM and IFC, the Nemetschek Group bases its AI approach on open data exchange so project information can move between disciplines and partners throughout the building lifecycle.
  • Human in control: Across all three offerings, AI proposes, automates and analyzes while professionals review, decide and remain accountable.

A shared foundation across the Group

The Max offerings build on the Group’s earlier AI work, including the AI Layer announced in 2024 and the Nemetschek AI Assistant introduced across brands since 2025. Because they use the Nemetschek Intelligence Platform, AI development in one brand can support the others over time.

Availability

Bluebeam Max and Allplan Max 2027 are available globally. Archicad Max is available with Archicad 30 and is rolling out by region. Availability, feature scope, beta status, subscription packaging and pricing may vary by product, plan and region.
