Allplan Max 2027 launched for engineering workflows

The release adds BIM analysis, workflow automation and structural support tools across the engineering portfolio.

The Nemetschek Group and its brand Allplan announced the launch of Allplan Max 2027, a new AI offering designed for engineering workflows and intended to extend capabilities across Allplan’s engineering portfolio. It is part of the Nemetschek Intelligence Platform.

The solution is designed to support tasks across modeling, analysis, detailing and fabrication. It brings AI into the tools engineers already use and is intended to help firms reduce repetitive work, access project information more quickly, automate routine processes, create custom workflows and free up time for engineering judgment, problem-solving and design.

Allplan Max is intended to address areas where engineering teams spend time on routine work, including searching for information, checking models, preparing reports, creating formulas, cleaning drawings and repeating common tasks.

Its capabilities include Feature Builder, Workflow Builder, AI Formula Writer, AI BIM Analyst, AI Structural Analyst, AI Drafter, AI Coach, AI Visualizer and AI Steel Take Off. These tools are intended to help engineers customize software, automate workflows, work with model data, speed up reporting, improve drawing production and access guidance in context.

Allplan says the system is designed to support engineering judgment rather than replace it. Engineers remain responsible for design intent, review, approval and final outcomes.

One AI strategy across the engineering portfolio

Allplan Max is being introduced across Allplan’s engineering portfolio to support the full engineering lifecycle:

  • Allplan brings AI into BIM, detailing and workflow customization through features such as Feature Builder, Workflow Builder, AI Formula Writer, AI BIM Analyst and AI Drafter.
  • SCIA and FRILO extend AI into structural analysis and engineering decision support, including AI Structural Analyst and AI Coach.
  • SDS2 brings AI into fabrication-oriented workflows, including BIM analysis and drawing automation.

Together, these products are intended to support a connected model, analyze and fabricate workflow, with Allplan Max serving as a common intelligence layer across the portfolio. The strategy is intended to make specialized engineering products more connected while keeping engineers in control.

Customer adoption results show productivity gains

Usage results for Allplan Max indicate productivity gains. Users reported up to 36 percent faster completion for selected tasks, depending on the workflow. These results are self-reported estimates and may vary by role, project complexity, data quality and adoption.

Allplan Max is launching alongside Allplan 2027, which also includes updates in reinforcement detailing, BIM information workflows and AI-powered customization.

Allplan Max 2027 is scheduled to launch on October 28, 2026. Availability may vary by product, package and region.
