The software supports well log analysis, data management and integration with Logtek’s internally developed solutions.

Emerson announced that Logtek AS selected AspenTech Geolog, part of the AspenTech Subsurface Science & Engineering (SSE) portfolio, to update its subsurface workflows. Logtek will use the software’s automation and data management capabilities to support upstream customers in identifying exploration and production (E&P) opportunities.
Logtek provides quality control, data management, regulatory reporting and petrophysical analysis services to upstream operators across the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The company helps customers interpret well data and maintain its accuracy and organization for E&P decision-making. Following a technical evaluation, Logtek selected AspenTech Geolog to replace a legacy third-party software system, integrate with internally developed solutions and support automated workflows and custom scripts.
AspenTech Geolog will support Logtek in delivering existing and new well log data with shorter turnaround times. By analyzing available subsurface data, Logtek helps customers evaluate potential opportunities in areas where exploration options are limited.
The OSDU Data Platform is an open-source reference architecture for managing and accessing energy industry data. Products in the AspenTech SSE portfolio, including AspenTech Geolog, are developed in alignment with the OSDU Data Platform to support interoperability and data management across Logtek’s workflows.
Logtek and its sister company Petroware have conducted proof-of-concept projects with energy companies in Norway to examine how the standard can be applied to data management processes. AspenTech Geolog supports multi-well and multi-user data sets within a single project and uses open data standards, allowing Logtek to integrate it with existing solutions and support project collaboration and delivery.
