Velo3D, Inc. announced that Vic Fryzel has joined as executive vice president, Technology, and Robert Purnell as senior director, Operations. Together, they strengthen the technology and operational leadership supporting production at Forge 1, Velo3D’s Livermore Production Campus in California.
Fryzel brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling complex hardware and software systems at Carbon, Meta, Lyft and Google. At Velo3D, he oversees the technology roadmap across hardware, software, materials, automation, process engineering, data and artificial intelligence.
Purnell brings experience scaling manufacturing operations across aerospace and semiconductors, with leadership roles at Boeing Co., FormFactor Inc. and SpaceX’s Starlink, as well as service in the U.S. Marine Corps. At Forge 1, he leads the teams and operating systems responsible for safety, quality and delivery performance.
Their work also supports Velo3D’s Rapid Production Solutions offering, which provides customers access to production capabilities without requiring them to establish their own printer operations.
