PTC launches cloud-based product collaboration platform

PTC Jetstream links product reviews, feedback and decisions with Windchill data for traceable team collaboration.

PTC has announced PTC Jetstream, a cloud-based, AI-enabled product collaboration solution that connects people, product information and decisions across product development processes.

As products become more complex, organizations need input from engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and other stakeholders without disrupting development work. Reviews and discussions are often distributed across separate tools, making it difficult to track feedback, document decisions and carry them into execution. PTC Jetstream provides a shared environment for real-time and asynchronous collaboration across teams and stakeholders. It links conversations, feedback and decisions to product information, including data managed in PTC’s Windchill PLM solution, while supporting governance and traceability.

PTC Jetstream includes the following capabilities:

  • Secure collaboration rooms: Create access-controlled workspaces for employees, suppliers and partners involved in product reviews.
  • Browser-based product review: View supported 2D and 3D product data without requiring every participant to use CAD or PLM software directly.
  • Contextual feedback: Associate comments and markups with the content under review, including the data version, reviewer, review date and design view.
  • AI room summaries: Identify key discussion points, outcomes, next steps and assigned owners.
  • Windchill connectivity: Start a collaboration from Windchill, share product data with collaboration rooms and return a record of issues and decisions to Windchill. This allows teams to review what was agreed and the reasons for the decision.

PTC Jetstream, Windchill and other PTC products support the company’s Intelligent Product Lifecycle approach. The approach uses product data as a foundation for collaboration across the enterprise and for applying AI to product development and management. Wider access to product information can help organizations coordinate development activities, manage product complexity and support digital business processes.
