Hexagon launches PC-DMIS FUSION for metrology data

The software adds real-time SPC, device connectivity and automated reporting for shop floor quality workflows.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s Stationary Metrology Division announced PC-DMIS FUSION, a software platform for PC-DMIS users that provides real-time measurement information, visualization, insights and SPC analysis to support production and quality decisions.

Integrated with PC-DMIS metrology software, FUSION presents measurement data from a range of devices so manufacturers can review shop floor data in one system and support automated quality workflows.

Connecting devices and automating workflows

PC-DMIS FUSION is designed to support data collection, reporting and analysis within quality operations. Users can automate repetitive tasks, receive alerts when deviations occur and monitor part quality continuously within the workflow.

FUSION and MAESTRO for automated quality monitoring

PC-DMIS FUSION works with MAESTRO, Hexagon’s digital CMM and IIoT device, to support automated metrology workflows. MAESTRO streams measurement data in real time while FUSION provides trend analysis, SPC functions and reporting.

Together, MAESTRO and FUSION support virtual metrology and model-based manufacturing by linking measurement results to 3D models and identifying issues during production. The system is intended to support connected inspection workflows, automation and faster response on the shop floor.

Key features of PC-DMIS FUSION

  • Data to support production and quality decisions
  • Real-time measurement information, statistical analysis and process insights
  • A reporting interface for viewing and interacting with dimensional data
  • Inspection data analysis for quality assurance and process improvement, including alarms for parts and processes
  • Time savings through a shift from reactive to more predictive quality operations
