Synera and CONTACT Software automate engineering with new connector

Synera and CONTACT Software expand partnership to help industries improve engineering and digitize product development.

The Bremen-based companies have developed a connector linking CONTACT Software’s PLM solution with Synera’s AI agent platform for engineering. The integration supports data management and digital process workflows.

Engineers often work under tight deadlines. The connector helps automate design and analysis processes while maintaining data accuracy. For instance, CAD designers can send their latest design to CONTACT’s CIM Database PLM and trigger a Synera AI agent to assess mechanical performance and generate a report. This automation helps reduce manual errors, streamlines workflows, and supports faster design iterations.

The collaboration builds on earlier work by CAIQ, a subsidiary of CONTACT Software, which developed a CATIA V5 connector enabling engineers to adjust 3D model parameters in CATIA V5 from within Synera. A new version for CATIA V6 has now been released, aiming to improve integration between CAD tools and automated engineering workflows.

By working closely together in Bremen, the two companies are setting a new benchmark for regional collaboration with global impact.

Through their expanded partnership, Synera and CONTACT Software aim to help customers across industries, including automotive and aerospace, improve engineering processes and adapt product development for digital workflows.
