Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead design projects for municipal water and sewer clients
- Develop designs consistent with project requirements
- Perform supporting calculations as required with proper documentation for quality control procedures
- Review shop submittals, vendor and/or manufacturer drawings for compliance and general conformance
- Review design drawings for dimensional compatibility, technical consistency, and adherence to company standards
- Write technical specifications and prepare contract documents/project manuals
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to other Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
- Develop scope of work, project approach, schedules, and costs in coordination with leads
- Determine budgets and schedules
- Report writing
- Proposal development
- Work with and support junior staff
In addition, a candidate with Project Management experience will:
- Supervise lead discipline engineers in technical execution of the project
- Coordinate project administrative and technical information
- Supervise project controls, maintaining schedule status, cost reporting, and forecasts
- Develop scope of work, project approach, schedules, and costs in coordination with leads
- Determine budgets and schedules
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- 5-10 years of experience in water and/or sewer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Skills
- Experience in multi-disciplined projects preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
Additional Notes
This position is ideal for a candidate with a desire to grow within a technical Project Management role. This position is not client-facing. This role will require local travel to client job sites but is not a travel extensive position. Candidate will be expected to work on-site from our Lititz, Reading, Pottsville, or Mountain Top offices during the first several weeks/months. After training period, if best suited for the candidate and Entech, a hybrid option is available.
