The modulus of elasticity E in bending stiffness EI are assumed to be the same for both tension and compression. So the EI is a unique value for a defined beam. The question is, if the E from tension and compression were not the same, so what would EI be? which E should be considered?or a new value needs to be find using both E from tension and compression?
    Thanks a lot!
