XJet Ltd. plans to unveil a new application for additive manufacturing at the upcoming Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) conference from March 31st – April 4th. Using its NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) technology, the company promises to add some magic to proceedings with live demonstrations – as-yet unseen in the USA – and joins the conference program in a presentation and roundtable discussion.

It really is magical when you see the material dissolve away so quickly, in its entirety, and start to think of the viable applications.”
Dissolving rapidly in a water-based, hazard-free solution, the advantages of soluble support materials are striking to XJet for metal AM. Fine details and complex parts such as internal cavities, lattice structures, and microstructures are no longer at risk of being damaged by the support material removal process and designers don’t need to give special consideration as to how they will be produced – software automatically positions parts on the print bed and calculates what support is required. Large numbers of parts can be processed in a jacuzzi bath quickly, manual labor requirements are drastically reduced, making end-to-end workflow significantly more efficient. Designers can finally achieve the creative freedom long promised by AM technology.
Danai will present the AMUG community of users with the benefits of ‘Powder-Free Ceramic & Metal AM’ in a presentation on Tuesday 2nd April from 3-4 pm in the Joliet room, and XJet will join a roundtable discussion from 3-4pm on Wednesday 3rd April in the Continental A and B room to debate the possibilities of ‘Ceramic 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing for Medical Applications’.
