What are the most used materials for 3D printing / additive manufacturing?

According to a recent report from Sculpteo, about 65% of users work with plastics, 36% use metals, 29% use resins, 8% use ceramic material for 3D printing /additive systems.

This 2018 report also notes that the most used 3DP technology is fused deposition (46%), with selective laser sintering at 38%; 33% of respondents use stereolighography, 21% use laser sintering, 15% use Polyjet, metal jet fusion is at 12%, Digital Light Processing (DLP) is a 10%, binder jetting is also at 10%, Electron Beam Melting is at 6%, the Carbon CLIP process is used by 4% of respondents, Selective Deposition Lamination (SDL) is used by 2%, and Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) is also used by 2% of the survey’s responents.
