voxeljet technology (Augsburg, Germany) introduced its new VX1000 at EuroMold. This large-format machine produces PMMA (plastic) patterns and prototypes as well as sand casting molds up to 42 x 24 x 20 inches.

“The VX1000 allows us to close the gap between our large-format machine VX4000 and the proven VX800 industrial printer. With this new product, we now have a comprehensive product range that enables us to offer the most appropriate machine for virtually all requirements,” said voxeljet CEO Dr. Ingo Ederer.

The company states that the VX1000 has 600 dpi resolution, layer thickness ranging from 0.004 to 0.012 inch and build rates up to 1.4 inches per hour.

At EuroMold, the company stressed the environmentally friendly nature when using a new inorganic binder, which was developed in conjunction with Hüttenes-Albertus.
