Voxeljet plans to open an additive manufacturing branch office in Michigan

Voxeljet is planning to open its own office and service center in Canton (Michigan) during the third quarter of 2014. voxeljet CEO Dr. Ingo Ederer views this investment as an important milestone in the company’s history: “The service center in Canton allows us to address the steadily growing demand for 3D printing in the US and Canada. In this context, we focus on applications in the automotive industry and other industry segments. This opens up an enormous market for voxeljet.”

Voxeljet has appointed an industry veteran, David Tait, to fill the position of General Manager of the American service center. Tait, who served as the President of Radian Precision Inc., a manufacture of precision metal parts, has many years of experience in the defense, aviation and automotive industry. He previously founded Laserform, a rapid prototyping company, a pioneer in the area of stereolithography and 3D printing.
