VIDEO: Versatile Metal Cutting with the TruLaser 5030 Fiber Machine

Cut everything from thick section mild steel plates to thinner materials with only one cutting head.

Versatility is key when it comes to laser cutting. This is especially true for small and medium footprint machines at job shops cutting everything from thick section mild steel plates to thinner materials.

The TruLaser 5030 Fiber Machine is TRUMPF’s solution to that need.

“The beauty of our 5030 Fiber with the 8 kw laser is that you’re able to cut many materials with only one cutting head,” said Stefan Fickenscher, managing director of TRUMPF Canada.

The 5030 can come equipped with TRUMPF’s BrightLine technology for cutting thicker materials.

In addition, the machine can come equipped with TRUMPF’s new CoolLine feature.

“We spray a mist of water on the material, therefore cooling the material down,” Fickenscher explains. “By doing so, we’re able to mass parts closer together and are able to cut very small contours, which is a big advantage for customers.”

Users can also analyze the machine’s status, performance and machine control from their mobile device using the 5030’s new MobileControl App feature. The machine communicates with devices through a built-in router, which creates its own wireless network.
