VIDEO: How to Find Your Dream Employer for Your Dream Job in Engineering

Part four of a four-part career development series by Joel Erway.

Welcome to the last installment in this series on finding your dream job, using in-depth research. We’re going to end our research by looking at companies who might be potential employers. This is an important last step, as we want to take everything we’ve learned so far and valid our assumptions on potential positions.

By this point, we should have researched the skills that interest us to a level where we should know exactly what we need to learn to pursue a position in that field. In case you missed the video where we learned how to effectively research the skills that interest us, you can still watch that lesson here.

We’ve also found valuable connections and researched their background and found influential figures in these fields to learn more about them and their related industries. In case you haven’t seen this video, it’s still watchable here. The introduction to this series can be seen here.

In the video below, we’re going to figure out what opportunities exist for us with the employers we’re interested in and learn about what online tools we can use to simplify this process.

Thank you for watching this video series on how to find your dream job in engineering.
