The Perfactory Micro shows the power of LED in 3D printing

perfactory-micro-product-1-214x300EnvisionTEC has built a reputation around its 3D printers, which use display technology from Texas Instruments to cure material as the printers build parts. An opportunity to view this technology in action will be available to attendees of Photonics West 2013, Exhibition in San Diego, California, this week. The company will be demonstrating its Perfactory® Micro 3D printer, which also features LED technology from Luminus Devices.

The Perfactory® Micro is one of the smallest desktop 3D printer with the highest resolution. It’s easy to maintain and operate, and will produce high-quality models for use by consumers and design professionals. Using state-of-the-art DLP® technology from Texas Instruments coupled with LED performance, this 3D printer produces professional grade physical 3D duplications of CAD or scan data. There is no longer any need to sacrifice speed, accuracy or surface finish quality to fit within a budget. The LEDs help reduce power consumption as well as the amount of hazardous waste entering the environment, and the long lifetime of the LEDs translates into tremendous cost savings for Perfactory® Micro owners.
