The A3 is poised to be the world’s largest trade association for all things robotics, automation, AI and 3D printing.
Automate Forward 2021, which took place virtually from March 22–26, was attended by thousands in the manufacturing community. This year, the trade show featured over 90 keynote speakers, including industry titans like Microsoft, Siemens and NVIDIA. More than 250 companies from around the world exhibited their automation technologies. The Automate event is the largest showcase of its kind in North America, boasting demos and conferences in the field of robotics, AI, manufacturing and automation.
During the event, it was announced that A3 Mexico, Robotic Industries Association (RIA), Advanced Vision + Imaging (AIA) and Motion Control & Motor Association (MCMA) will merge into one pioneering automation trade association in Spring 2021, and will be known as the Association for Advancing Automation (A3). It will be the largest automation trade association in the world, bringing together over 1200 companies in the field of machine vision, 3D printing, simulation, motion control, AI and robotics.
With All Your Powers Combined
By pooling their vast resources, A3 can provide a variety of technological support for all stages of the automation lifecycle, from suppliers and system integrators to research groups and end users. A3 members can also benefit from networking within the automation ecosystem by connecting with automation companies, consulting firms and user companies. Additionally, A3 offers informative events, articles and webinars from industry leaders as part of its educational initiative. A million visitors are estimated to visit the A3 website annually, paving the way for sponsorship and advertisement for companies, educators and individual members.
All events and activities that took place under the banner of A3 Mexico, RIA, AIA and MCMA individually will continue as previously scheduled along with new events. Data and webinars that were originally featured on their websites will also be archived and accessible. The same is true for all education and certification processes that were individually offered within these organizations.
A3 Members
While the A3 website will feature free resources and even a chance to visit scheduled events without paying, members will be granted access to a wealth of information including members-only content as well as discounts towards various events that take place every year.
Membership levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Previous members of RIA, MCMA, AIA and A3 Mexico will be transferred automatically to an A3 membership with minimal changes to their benefits delivery system.
Start-up companies can take advantage of the start-up membership option, which charges an annual fee of $500 for smaller companies making less than $2 million annually or are less than three years old. A3 also provides a membership option for universities and trade schools at an annual fee of $1000.
