Lessons, Videos, Tips, and Online Communities for K-12 STEM Teachers

Accelerate Learning, suppliers of STEM curriculum improvement solutions, has launched a free site for professional development of K-12 STEM educators. The site looks to give access to STEM resources to be used in the classroom.

Vernon Johnson, CEO of Accelerate Learning, says, “Research shows that the most direct route to increased student achievement is high-quality teaching. provides teachers of all experience levels with easy access to content-rich resources to enhance their instruction and bring STEM to life for their students.”

The resources provided include lesson plans, teacher/student guides, questions, tips, prompts, and journals. Also available are videos of STEM professionals discussing careers and the skills students will need to succeed. also provides the ability to link educators into a STEM education community, STEMshare. This will allow teachers to share lessons, provide feedback, chat, share successes/failures, and nominate users for STEMchallenge contests.

The launch is designed to supplement STEMscopes, an online preK-12 curriculum for STEM instructors. With the help of Rice University, it was designed to improve student performance and engagement.
