SprintRay expands digital dentistry in Europe with Midas Digital Press

SprintRay's Digital Print line offers high-accuracy, high-throughput 3D printing for dental labs.

SprintRay introduced new additions to its digital dentistry portfolio at the International Dental Show (IDS) 2025. The event featured the European launch of the Midas Digital Press 3D printer and an expansion of the digital print product line, including next-generation sports guard and accessory kits designed for faster printing speeds and multi-material workflows.

SprintRay’s Digital Print Ecosystem features the Pro 2 printer and offers an end-to-end solution for in-office production, from design to print, wash, and cure.

Midas Digital Press expands to Europe

SprintRay is introducing the revolutionary Midas Digital Press 3D printer to the European market. Powered by Digital Press Stereolithography (DPS), Midas is a 3D printer designed to process ultra-viscous materials, enhancing strength, esthetics, and efficiency in dental restorations. With SprintRay Ceramic Crown and OnX Tough 2 resin capsules, Midas can print up to three crowns, six inlays/onlays, or nine veneers in a single 10-minute cycle. Combined with SprintRay AI Studio design software, this technology enables faster, more precise, and fully integrated restorative workflows.

SprintRay’s new Pro 2 Duo Kit enables dual-resin 3D printing, allowing dental professionals to fabricate two different appliances in a single print job.

Expanding the digital print portfolio in Europe

SprintRay’s Digital Print product line provides precise, high-speed 3D printing solutions for dental clinics and labs. The SprintRay Pro 2, introduced in 2024, has redefined efficiency in dental printing, and at IDS 2025, SprintRay will unveil the Pro 2 Duo Kit, a patent-pending dual-resin printing system. This feature enables dental professionals to print two different resins at the same time, improving efficiency in producing full dentures, splints, and other applications.

Further expanding the portfolio, SprintRay will introduce:

  • SportsGuard resin – Available in crimson red and cobalt blue, offering high-performance, custom mouthguards for athletes.
  • Direct Print Retainer resin – Launching in Q3 2025, this new resin enables 3D printing of clear retainers with micron-level accuracy, eliminating the need for traditional thermoforming.
SprintRay’s Ceramic Crown and OnX Tough 2 resin capsules enable the Midas Digital Press to produce durable, aesthetic restorations in under 10 minutes.

Ceramic Crown and OnX Tough 2: coming soon to Europe

SprintRay’s Ceramic Crown and OnX Tough 2 resins will soon be available in Europe, pending Class IIa certification under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Developed at the SprintRay BioMaterial Innovation Lab, these advanced hybrid ceramic restorative resins offer exceptional strength, durability, and esthetics, providing clinicians with the capability of fabricating high-quality, immediate dental restorations. Both resins will be available for use with Midas and Pro 2 3D printers.

New strategic partnership with Straumann
