Schneider Electric announces BayWa r.e. Solar Trade as U.S. distributor

Strategic collaboration expands Schneider Home product availability for solar installers to advance the renewable energy transition.

Schneider Electric announced a collaboration with BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S., a distributor of solar and energy storage components and systems, to make Schneider Home and residential product lines more accessible to solar installers across the United States.

BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S. will make the Schneider Home energy management system available to its network of installers. The Schneider Home package can coordinate solar, batteries, charging, a smart electrical panel and connected switches and sockets.

BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S. will begin offering Schneider Home to its installer network, providing access to solar and energy storage solutions through a single channel. Schneider Home is an energy management system that enables homeowners to monitor and control solar power, battery storage, an EV charger, a smart electrical panel, and connected devices via the Schneider Home app.

According to the Solar Energy Industries Association’s Q4 2024 Solar Market Insight Report, the U.S. solar industry installed 8.6 gigawatts-direct current (GWdc) of capacity in Q3 2024, a 21% year-over-year increase with an outlook of 2% annual growth over the next five years. BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S. will distribute Schneider Electric’s residential products through its nationwide network of sales teams and distribution centers. The collaboration increases access to Schneider Home solutions and residential components such as Homeline and QO load centers, breakers, and wiring devices. It also supports a balance-of-system approach aimed at improving installation efficiency and customer support.

By expanding Schneider Home’s reach through BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S., solar installers will have greater access to industry-leading products that support sustainable, cost-effective installations. BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S. serves installers nationally and is a preferred distributor of Schneider Home in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and Texas.
