Obtaining 3D printed parts faster has always been a goal for users.  Several months ago, SAP SE and UPS announced a collaboration to improve the delivery of 3D printed parts. Now, SAP SE is opening access to its SAP Distributed Manufacturing application to new customers as part of its joint collaboration with UPS.

The SAP Distributed Manufacturing early access program will provide users with standard and scalable business processes for digitizing, approving, certifying and manufacturing digital parts in an end-to-end digital manufacturing process. The program is part of the SAP Leonardo IoT portfolio.   The program works with discrete manufacturers, industrial 3D printing companies and service providers, materials providers, postal companies and global logistics networks services.

SAP is working with 28 co-innovation companies in the program, who will test and approve 3D printing before SAP expands this initiative to more organizations later this year.
