Robotiq, known for providing complete collaborative robot solutions, is now offering new options for palletizing, packaging and sanding.
While manufacturing across sectors may be seeing a boon in new jobs, filling those positions is becoming much harder, especially when those jobs involve heavy, repetitious or hazardous work. More and more industries are turning to companies like Robotiq for easy and innovative collaborative robot (cobot) solutions.

On the heels of releasing its Hand-E in June, Robotiq will host a booth at Automate 2019 to display its current line of plug-and-play grippers, force sensors, camera technology and related software. Adding to the mix will be demonstrations of the company’s new solutions for packaging, palletizing and sanding: AirPick, EPick and the Robotiq Sanding Kit.
AirPick and EPick are customizable vacuum grippers that aim to give manufacturers full control of automation processes. They are designed for user-friendly installation on cobots and suitable for use in a range of industries.
For companies looking to automate pick-and-place assembly, packaging, palletizing or machine-tending applications, these new grippers can handle an array of materials, shapes, sizes and weights. Robotiq’s approach to the design of their robot end effectors and accessories is to emphasize user friendly installation, setup and operation.

When it comes to finishing applications, Robotiq already offers the FT 300 Force Torque Sensor. The new Sanding Kit will be the company’s first application-based packaged with hardware and software.
It features a built-in path generator for consistent force during each cycle, which is necessary for finishing applications which remove material. For more information, visit the Robotiq website.
