Webinar – The Importance of a Site-Specific Review for Engineered Fabric Structures

In this webinar, Calhoun Super Structure discusses the importance of a site-specific review for tensioned fabric structures - relative to variable snow loads, wind speeds, and seismic conditions - using 3D Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

In this webinar, Calhoun Super Structure discusses the importance of a site-specific review for tensioned fabric structures – relative to variable snow loads, wind speeds, and seismic conditions – using 3D Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

By using 3D Nonlinear FEA, Calhoun’s engineers can ensure the fabric structure is engineered to the highest possible standard. Each structure is considered within its intended environment to ensure the loads and constraints used in FEA accurately represent the site conditions. This design phase considers applicable codes and standards, the proposed structural framework, site topography, foundation conditions, and climate conditions.

The overall process allows calculation of detailed reaction loads that will in turn allow for an optimized foundation design and a stronger, more efficient tensioned fabric structure.
