He has over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare, Automotive, Plastics, Simulation Global Work Sharing Projects and CAD/CAE Industries. His background includes a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Anna University, India. Serving as key CAE Lead Mechanical Engineer at GE Healthcare – Anesthesia and Respiratory Care (ARC) team.


Dr. Joseph Lacey – Principal Engineer, GE Healthcare. Dr. Joseph Lacey is a Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer at GE Healthcare with 50+ patents Issued. Expertise: – Electronics Cooling & Packaging Design – Precision temperature control design – System Design optimization – Precision tolerance mechanical designs Specialties: – Design of thermal control systems – CT collimator design – Medical electronics packaging – Clean sheet of paper design – Design of Anesthesia vaporizers.


Ramesh Lakshmipathy – Industry Process Consult – Mgt Senior Manager, SOLIDWORKS. Ramesh Lakshmipathy has over 20 years of experience in the CAD/CAE industry and has been with Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS for over 19 years. He manages the North American Simulation Technical Sales team. Ramesh has worked with numerous customers in Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial Design, High Tech, Oil and Gas, implementing SOLIDWORKS Simulation solutions. His main strengths are in the area of Motion Simulation, FEA, CFD, and extensive programming experience with C, C++, VB and VB.Net. His background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UMASS-Amherst.


Dr. Omar Zohni – Senior Technical Manager – Simulation, SOLIDWORKS. Dr. Omar Zohni got his start in simulation techniques working at Northrop Grumman where he was responsible for the thermal, mechanical, and vibration analysis of their electronics enclosures and boards. He joined SOLIDWORKS in 2010 after 5 years at ANSYS as a Sr. Application Engineer. He’s spent the last 20+ years working with companies showing them simulation techniques that can help them leverage analysis to drive their product designs.

Dr. Zohni earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh, an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
