In late 2017, ENGINEERING.com surveyed 241 product development professionals about the systems they use for collaboration. This research report focused on their level of satisfaction with their collaboration systems across several dimensions. The results of this analysis will provide design and development teams information to help them benchmark their results relative to the industry.
Here are a few selected insights:
- About one-third (32%) of product development teams do not have a formal collaboration solution.
- Product teams who lack a formal system reported low levels of satisfaction with many collaboration processes, such as quickly gathering feedback, securely sharing data, and remotely accessing important data.
- Users of cloud-based collaboration systems reported higher levels of satisfaction than users of server-based collaboration systems.
