Engineering electric cars requires new skill sets and ways of working demanding collaboration between engineering teams. Engineers on body-in-white (BIW), battery and manufacturing teams, while having a common goal, often have conflicting focuses. Collaboration and concurrent engineering can no longer be a nice-to-achieve concept.
The webinar will cover:
- The challenges that force collaboration across disciplines in different stages including battery pack parameters and layout, battery pack thermal management, manufacturing, and structural integration
- The manner in which collaboration must occur to ensure efficiency in meeting vehicle requirements and target costs
- The importance of contextualized information for efficiently sharing ideas and understanding implications leading optimized solutions and shorter time-to-market
