Recently released MapleSim 4 software sports a number of updates that could help you reduce development time and add higher fidelity to your models. The product now supports a range of domains and includes validated Modelica components for modeling mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, thermal, and signal-flow systems. Model diagrams map directly to your physical systems so they are easier to construct and validate.
MapleSim is a drag and drop physical modeling tool that applies advanced symbolic computation techniques to produce high-performance simulation models of multi-domain systems.
In addition, system equations are automatically generated from the system diagram and simplified using lossless symbolic techniques to produce an optimal set of equations. These equations can be viewed, manipulated, and analyzed using math notation. An advanced multi-body system handles optimized kinematic and dynamic equations for multi-body systems.
A flexible model construction environment supports block diagram and 3D model construction. Built-in analysis tools support parameter optimization, sensitivity analysis, equation extraction, multi-body analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation. A symbolic scripting language provides access to mathematical solvers, structures, and visualization tools.

3-D model construction, visualization, and animation can help reduce the time required to build and validate models.
The Electrical Machines library now includes new components for stepper motors. The vector operations components in the Signal Blocks library help simplify working with multiple signals in parallel.
Your models can be deployed to other applications using the built-in optimized code generation feature or through connectivity add-ons for platforms from The MathWorks and National Instruments.
