Binder jet metal additive technology uses a resin binder to consolidate layers of metal powder to form a green compact which is sintered for full part density. Design for shrinkage is a necessary process in any sintered powder metal product, but Ross Adams of Markforged tells of a system that helps users account for shrinkage at the design level, reducing the number of iterations needed to deliver an accurate shape.
