A major advantage of additive manufacturing is the ability to mass produce consumer goods in lot sizes as small as a single unit, efficiently. Wearables that are custom fit to users are a natural application, and HP engineering product manager Clara Ramacha demonstrated a unique facial scanning technology that allows sports goggle to be made to fit the exact contour of a user’s face.
