Engineering solutions company Rand Worldwide, Inc. has announced that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Bill Zavadil has been promoted to president effective February 1. Chief Executive Officer Larry Rychlak has expressed enthusiasm about the change, citing Zavadil’s 30 years of industry experience in design engineering.

“This is a well-earned recognition and the logical next step for Bill. I’m very pleased to continue working with him and our strong management team in consistently delivering outstanding results for our customers, our employees, and our shareholders,” shared Rychlak in a press release last week.

Before assuming the role of COO, Zavadil was the senior vice president of Solutions at CRi Solutions between 2014 and 2015 and the senior vice president of Professional Services at IMAGINiT Technologies (a division of Rand Worldwide) from 1994 to 2014, where he provided expertise on professional services management.

Zavadil stated in the press release that he is looking forward to his new responsibilities as president and expressed gratitude toward the Rand Board of Directors for the opportunity.

“Rand Worldwide, Inc. is extremely well-positioned to grow and thrive in the ever-changing marketplace, and I’m very excited to help lead the Company to even greater heights,” said Zavadil.

This month, Rand also unveiled its new IMAGINiT Clarity products suite, which now has improved security tools and features. Project managers will be able to acquire more data and model insights, as well as automate tasks while keeping information secure. Some new enhancements include restriction and visibility settings for limited authorization to certain team members. This will also prevent the browsing and transferring of files along server network paths. Mitigation tools are also included to give administrators more control over script launching and to perform timed backups for companies that don’t have dedicated IT teams running their servers.

The Clarity suite is compatible with Autodesk Revit 2021 and will include collaborative software that integrates with Procore, BIM Track, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Find out more about IMAGINiT here.

The IMAGINiT division earned an Autodesk CAM Specialized Partner designation in July 2020, allowing the company to expand its CAD/CAM solution offerings through Autodesk’s technologies. It is currently an Autodesk Platinum Partner and Premier Service Provider and delivers training and support for 3D design engineering software for various industries, such as manufacturing, civil engineering, and architecture.

Investment management firm, Alluvial Capital Management, announced in its Q4 2020 Investor Letter in early February that Rand showed “excellent returns on capital and [is] benefitting from positive long-term trends in software usage.”
