Choosing Between Parametric and Explicit 3D Modeling
In the mid-1990s, many companies purchased a 3D modeling product without knowing what benefits the product delivered and without having a clear 3D modeling strategy. Today we know that the correct approach to 3D design will enable you to do much more than just design 3D models. At the highest level, it should make your company more effective, profitable, and innovative by helping you overcome increasing business pressures.
The first step is deciding between the parametric approach and explicit approach. Each approach is different and each offers its own benefits and applications. If you’re a design engineer or engineering manager that’s not completely satisfied with your current 3D CAD tool, it may well be the design approach, rather than the tool.

This webinar series will explore the explicit approach to 3D CAD and serve as the perfect introduction to CoCreate Modeling.
Learn how the explicit modeling approach to 3D CAD allows:
•A flexible approach to unexpected and radical changes – including project peaks and changing team members.
•An easy transition from 2D to 3D – leveraging 2D principles, concepts and drawings.
•Elimination of physical prototypes – reducing product costs and accelerating product development.
