Prodways is distributing the new ProMaker P4500 series “powered by Farsoon.” The ProMaker P4500 series offers fast build rates, made possible by its high-speed digital scanning system and large build platform. In 2017, the whole ProMaker P4500 series will be available with a 600 mm cartridge option for higher build volume.

Additionally, the ProMaker P4500 series offers thermal stability with an eight-zone heater system and intelligent temperature control, which can improve mechanical properties of built parts and build accuracy.

ProMaker P4500 series is composed of 4 new laser sintering printers:
The ProMaker P4500 SD, with a 400 x 400 x 450 mm build area and 30 W laser.
The ProMaker P4500 HS, with a 400 x 400 x 450 mm build area and 60 W laser.
The ProMaker P4500 X, with a 400 x 400 x 450 mm build area and 100 W laser.
The ProMaker P4500 HT, with a 400 x 400 x 450 mm build area and 100 W laser, and high temperature control.

The high-temperature-capable configuration of the ProMaker P4500 HT lets users process a variety of materials at temperatures of up to 220°C. Those innovative new powders include the Ultrasint PA6 – X028 by BASF.

Through its partnership with BASF, Prodways integrated the Ultrasint PA6 – X028 by BASF into its portfolio of laser sintering materials. This polymer powder is suitable for functional components with complex structures and custom designs, but with the similar mechanical resistance, hardness and thermal stability properties as parts produced today in PA6 via traditional injection techniques.

PA6 is often used in the automotive and electronics industries where it can replace metal to produce lighter-weight parts and reduce production costs for massive parts, hot engine parts and electronic components. This new material meets the requirements of applications in all areas of industry for a range of components and machine parts.
