Proctor & Gamble Choose Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

DassaultSystèmes announces that Proctor & Gamble will use its 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

DassaultSystèmes, a leader in 3D design software, has announced that one of the world’s largest consumer goods packaging companies, Proctor & Gamble (P&G), will begin using its 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

P&G’s move will give Dassault’s base a significant boost as 18,000 new users will be interacting with the company’s “Perfect Product” and “Perfect Package” solutions. While many of those users will be designers, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform has been billed as an end-to-end design solution, and as such, employees working in research and development, product supply, quality assurance and other critical fields will be leveraging Dassault’s tools.

“Our decision to upgrade our existing Dassault Systèmes’ product lifecycle management to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is part of our work to transform our business digitally in order to support our work process and drive value,” said Jean-Louis Hospitel, IT director at P&G. “The 3DEXPERIENCE platform facilitates end-to-end innovation, integration and improved user experience for our seamless technical community.”

With industries far and wide realizing that product development cycles are becoming ever more condensed, platforms like 3DEXPERIENCE are becoming critical for business success. Not only do these platforms deliver state-of-the-art design tools, they create a solid infrastructure where global teams can work seamlessly on projects that might be spearheaded continents away.

According to Dassault, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform has been developed to allow pertinent product data to be traceable, shareable and usable. This framework can help companies reduce data search times, cut down on design work redundancies and therefore create more room for profit.

Although Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform has already lured in a number of high-profile user bases (for example, Bosch and Jaguar Land Rover), P&G’s adoption represents a big win for the French firm and a ringing endorsement that its end-to-end solution is ready for business.
