nVidia Q1 revenues jumped to $1 billion, up an amazing 51% over the $664 million the company made in the recession-bound quarter a year earlier. And it switched from a huge loss of $201.3 million last year to a huge profit of $137.6 million this year.
Share prices show no love for the present; their concern is only for hearing a happy answer to "What will you do for me next?" And the answer is not happy:
"For the July quarter, Nvidia forecast that revenue would fall 3 to 5 percent from the previous period, implying sales of $950 million to $970 million. That compares with Wall Street's estimate for revenue of $990 million."
Boom! Share price falls 10%.
