Rock Hill, South Carolina – 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC) plans to discuss the development status of its next-generation ProJetâ„¢ 5000 3-D Production System tomorrow morning during its annual World Conference in Charlotte, NC.
This new, larger format, high-speed 3-D Printer is designed to deliver high-definition parts from a variety of plastic and wax materials that can be configured and selected interchangeably. 3D Systems will display this new system during its World Conference as part of a series of technology announcements that it is making during the global event. The company plans to commercialize this new generation of systems in 2009.
The ProJetâ„¢ 5000 3-D Production System is designed to incorporate the next generation of 3D Systems’ patented and proprietary Multi-Jet Printing (MJP) technology with features that include versatile build resolutions to fit all applications, remote diagnostics for easy serviceability, and a wide-range of interchangeable plastic and wax material options. The ProJetâ„¢ 5000 is designed to have the largest build platform within the ProJetâ„¢ family as well as the ability to produce parts in excess of 19.5 inches (or 500 mm) long.
3D Systems is scheduled at 10 a.m. tomorrow to discuss the ProJetâ„¢ 5000 3-D Production System during a technology announcement at its World Conference in Charlotte, NC.
