NexGen Releases HumanCAD v6, MQSW v2

MONTREAL, Canada, Mar 21, 2022 – NexGen has announced the release of HumanCAD V6, as well as HumanCAD MQSW V2. HumanCAD is a human modeling solution that creates digital humans in a 3D environment in which a variety of ergonomic and human factor analysis can be performed. HumanCAD aids users with the design of products and workplaces by determining what humans of different sizes can see, reach, or lift. HumanCAD can import and export files in a variety of CAD file formats. HumanCAD-MQSW is a human modeling solution add-in for SOLIDWORKS that creates a 3D digital human within the context of an assembly document.

New features in version 6.0 include:

  • Additional anthropometric databases for Japan, Australia and more.
  • New clothing appearance options have been added.
  • Ability to import pictures or videos as background in the scene and then position mannequins to correspond to postures in the background image.
  • New options for Ranges of Motion (ROMs) are available for various databases
  • New Elderly Module.
  • The Child Module has been updated with additional databases.
  • New balance feature which deals with the assessment of the human balance and also calculates and displays the ground reaction forces for both feet and each foot individually.
  • ErgoTools new tools and features include the Hand strength MAE (Maximum Acceptable Efforts) & AFF (Arm Force Field) methods, as well as a new Task Analysis Wizard.
  • New mannequin facial features for Asian databases.
