Questa Verification IP gets a boost.
Engineers using Siemens Digital Industries Software technology to develop products that connect to cloud and HPC systems should keep an eye out for the Questa Verification IP, as it is now compatible with compute express link (CXL) 3.0 protocol. The new protocol utilizes peripheral component interconnect express (PCLe) networking protocol to rapidly transfer data between HPC servers, the cloud and smart connected devices.
Siemens notes that the new edition of Questa integrates into advanced verification environments on a simulator and incorporates the CXL 3.0 protocol into new designs and solutions at the clock-level, subsystem and system-on-chip (SoC).
“By offering early support for the new CXL 3.0 protocol, Siemens can help customers differentiate and win in highly competitive HPC markets around the world,” said Mark Olen, product management director, IC Verification Solutions, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “Available now for early adopters of the CXL 3.0 protocol, our new Questa Verification IP solution provides a proven, robust and comprehensive verification platform that allows our customers to validate their next-generation designs with speed and confidence.”
Why Engineers Should Pay Attention
The Internet of Things (IoT), AI and simulation are not just becoming necessities in the engineering toolbox, they are also becoming aspects of the products they produce for the outside world. As the products that engineers produce become smarter, their connection to cloud-based HPC systems will become inevitable.
Tools like Questa expediate verification closure and shine a light on complex designs. Siemens notes that the latest release includes prebuilt verification components and exhaustive stimuli to improve productivity and verification sign off and reduce bias.
