Rehovot, Israel – Objet Geometries Ltd. announced that printing technologies pioneer David Reis has been named President and CEO, effective immediately. He assumes the role from Adina Shorr, who steps down after six successful years at the company.
Mr. Reis, who has served on the Objet board since 2001 and is currently Objet’s Active Vice Chairman, holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration and an MBA from Denver University. Mr. Reis brings to the company extensive leadership and international management experience. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of NUR Macroprinters Ltd.
Under Ms. Shorr’s leadership Objet transformed from a startup to a leading player in the global 3D printing market. In particular, she helped bring to market numerous new rapid prototyping innovations, including the Connex500™, the first system to allow simultaneous printing of several materials with different mechanical and physical properties, and the latest Alaris30, a first-of-its-kind desktop rapid prototyping system.
Elan Jaglom, Chairman of the Board, said: “All of us at Objet extend a warm welcome to David Reis, whose unparalleled experience, insights and knowledge of the company will propel Objet to new heights in the 3D printing industry. We also sincerely thank Adina Shorr for the tremendous accomplishments during her tenure. Adina will retain an advisory role to the Objet board in various activities.”
Under Mr Reis, Objet will continue to build on its strategies, leveraging the momentum already generated to drive Objet’s success through the coming years.
Despite the challenging economic times, Objet has embarked on several new strategic projects, including expanding its European and Asia Pacific presence, the implementation of a worldwide Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the completion of a state-of-the-art resin plant.
