Enhanced processing and analysis capabilities are integrated into the ANSYS Workbench environment with the newly released nCode Supplementals package. This new release from HBM Prenscia adds
nCode GlyphWorks capabilities to the Workbench and provides convenient access to the tools within the Workbench user interface.
The latest GlyphWorks package provides durability and fatigue analysis in a user-friendly graphical environment. A materials database is also included in the package and provides statistical data and fatigue properties for over 100 materials to support more accurate analysis.
Durability analysis, fatigue analysis, accelerated testing, ride quality analysis and rotating machinery analysis are all supported by the GlyphWorks package.
In GlyphWorks, users can analyze designs by dragging and dropping analysis blocks in the graphical user interface. The process then generates results and reports, making the tool easy to operate even for less-experienced users. GlyphWorks also promises improved quality and better consistency with standardized analysis processes.
Users can also customize the analysis with user-created scripts using open-source Python language scripts and IMSL statistical libraries. They also have the option to link to existing analysis processes.
Signal processing tools such as frequency analysis, feature extraction, filtering and damage spectrum analysis are provided to support reliability analysis of measured data. More advanced capabilities include the data cleaning tool, which uses wavelets for more complex filtering and noise removal from measured data.
Users can define their own processes with the GlyphBuilder tool. Processes can be developed in MATLAB or Python and then integrated into the tool framework. Command line execution is provided with the Open GNlyph application and provides a method to call external Visual Basic, Java, or C++ scripts using data from the GlyphWorks process.
The partnership emphasizes innovation and technical contributions from both HBM Prenscia and ANSYS, aligning their strengths to develop and support a better tool.
