Mix it Up with Builder’s Color Mixing!

3D printing, color, multi-color, g-code

After the Dual-Feed last year and the Big Builder this February, Builder 3D Printers is proudly launching a new and unique feature: color mixing.

How does Builder’s color mixing work?

The Builder 3D Printers (small and Big Builders) are available with the unique Dual-Feed extruder which is able to print two materials/colors through one nozzle. It’s thanks to this setup the Builder printers are now also able to mix colors as shown in the image. The vase consists of three colors: pink, orange and yellow. This is the “color mix” effect. The two colors (yellow and pink) filament mix together, creating a hybrid.

CEO and creative force behind Builder Mr. Paul Hunck explains: “I am very enthusiastic about this unique feature. It shows that Builder 3D Printers is all about innovationdeveloping and we will continue to grow in the consumer and business to business market”.

Create a “color mix” G-code

Builder 3D Printers has created a tool on their website that can insert extra commands into existing G-codes. These added commands transform a normal G-code into a color mixing G-code.

When purchasing a small or Big Builder with Dual-Feed extruder, customers will receive a password by email which allows them to use the “color mixing” generator.
