Membership expands for America Makes

America Makes Namii logo.v1America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, driven by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), proudly recognizes an existing membership upgrade and welcomes eight new members:

Lead Members

The Boeing Company-Boeing is the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. A top U.S. exporter, the company supports airlines and U.S. and allied government customers in 150 countries. Boeing products and tailored services include commercial and military aircraft, satellites, weapons, electronic and defense systems, launch systems, advanced information and communication systems, and performance-based logistics and training.

Lockheed Martin-America Makes and Lockheed Martin have recently agreed to strengthen their partnership to spearhead innovation in additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Lockheed Martin has also upgraded its membership in America Makes to a Lead Tier and pledged to contribute $2.5 million to the Institute over the next five years. As one of the Institute’s original members, the Institute’s leadership role, performance, and progress to date convinced Lockheed Martin to upgrade and extend its membership, and invest in the Institute beyond the annual membership fee. Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs about 116,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services.

Hoeganaes Corporation-Hoeganaes Corporation is the world leader in the production of atomized steel and iron powders and has fueled industry growth with successive waves of technology that have expanded the use of prealloyed metal powders for a wide variety of applications.

Materion Corporation-Materion is headquartered in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The company, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, supplies highly engineered advanced enabling materials to global markets.
