Mazak’s Quick Turn Universal (QTU) 200M multi-tasking turning center is a multi-tasking machine with a small-footprint.

While simple in its design, the machine has several notable features and functions.

It features an integral spindle/motor C-axis headstock capable of positioning parts to within 0.0001°. A variable-AC inverter powers the headstock to eliminate backlash.

The turret with a live rotary spindle provides milling, drilling and tapping operations. The roller gear cam drive system on turret ensures fast and accurate indexing, while the programmable NC servo-driven tailstock reduces setup and cycle times.

The machine’s rigid bed has a low center of gravity bed to help ensure stable performance. A one-piece Z-axis way cover simplifies chip disposal. Its SMART CNC provides optimized programming of complex geometries.

The QTU 200M is designed for machining relatively complex components up to 13.5” in diameter and 14.5” (300 bed) and 23.5” (500 bed) long from a wide range of materials.
