MakerBot collaborates with Oryx Additive for support removal

 MakerBot, a global leader in 3D printing and subsidiary of Stratasys Ltd., teams up with Oryx Additive to provide additive manufacturing support removal and finishing solutions to customers.

The Oryx Additive sca1200ht wash tank is available for parts produced from the MakerBot METHOD X 3D printers, where it removes soluble support materials on those parts. The wash tank is compatible with all solvent-based materials as well as base modeling materials in conjunction with all recommended support removal concentrates. Model materials include ABS, ASA, Nylon, and polycarbonate materials.

MakerBot also offers Stratasys SR-30 soluble support materials for the METHOD platform.

The wash tank is currently available and can be purchased online or through MakerBot resellers.
