Rendering software Lumion has climbed the development ladder to version 9.3, which is currently available as a free upgrade for Lumion 9 users. The new version focuses primarily on LiveSync, Lumion’s real-time plug-in technology for BIM applications including Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD and Rhino. Lumion 9.3 adds a few minor enhancements to LiveSync, as well as a new entry on the list of LiveSync-compatible applications: Vectorworks.

Users of Vectorworks 2019 SP3 and beyond will now have access to the LiveSync for Vectorworks plug-in, which is available for free. With LiveSync, changes made to the model in Vectorworks will propagate in real-time to the Lumion scene, allowing users to obtain instant feedback on their design with photorealistic lighting and materials. Users can lock the point-of-view so that Vectorworks and Lumion will share the same camera perspective and apply material layouts that can be saved for future rendering.

In Lumion 9.3, LiveSync now allows users to transfer camera angles from their BIM application to Photo slots in Lumion. Lumion 9.3 also promises smoother LiveSync workflows when switching from Build Mode to Photo or Movie Mode, resulting in a faster rendering experience.
