Link3D And Fraunhofer partner to grow additive manufacturing In Germany

Link3D, a leader in additive manufacturing execution workflow software, announced its latest partnership with German-based, ACAM Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing at TCT UK. The partnership represents a push for widespread adoption of additive manufacturing in Germany and Europe.

The ACAM is based at the cradle of metal AM: The RWTH Aachen University Campus and its associated Fraunhofer Institutes for Laser and Production Technology. This is where a community of more than 100 researchers and 25 industry partners is pushing the industrialization of AM in bilateral and consortial projects along the entire process chain.

Link3D, New York City-based, will work directly with ACAM to build a Showroom to demonstrate in real-time Link3D’s AMES & Additive Workflow Software across facilities of ACAM’s research partners such as the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT and the RWTH Aachen University Chair for Digital Additive Production DAP, facilities with 50+ metal and polymer 3D printers.

OEMs and 3D Printing Service Bureaus will be able to see demonstrations of a connected additive manufacturing ecosystem that shows:
● Centralizing order submission processes
● Streamlining quoting and cost tracking
● Optimizing production planning and production scheduling across machines
● Managing post processing and quality assurance management
● Administering order logistics and collecting customer feedback
● Improving internal operations with data analytics

A Training Center will be available to help train OEMs’ and 3D Printing Service Bureaus’ employees to optimize their additive operations with Link3D. This includes: application engineers, machine operators, supply chain managers, account managers – and more, to streamline data intensive tasks that will help them save time, reduce overhead cost, maximize assets and improve internal operations.
