3DPrint.com has launched a series of branded 3D printer filaments: Facilan C8 and Facilan HT. Facilan C8 is a specialized material that is designed to print without any visible layer lines. It has higher impact strength than PLA and higher tensile strength than ABS, as well as improved surface quality.

Facilan HT is a high gloss material with a heat deflection temperature of 89°C and comparatively high impact and tensile strength. It was created as a safer and higher performance alternative to PET, PETG and other copolymers.

Beckhoff has announced three I/O modules for their TwinSAFE safety controllers, which permit adaptation to the specific safety requirements of individual machine concepts. The ability to distribute the intelligence of an entire safety application across multiple TwinSAFE Logic-capable I/O modules means implementation of increasingly modular architectures. These safety architectures can adapt to varied system requirements.

Larson Electronics has released a 25-foot, towable telescoping light tower with six 160-watt LED light bulbs producing a total of 129,600 lumens (that can illuminate 3-4 acres). This unit has a water-cooled diesel engine that turns a single bearing four-pole generator producing a total of 6,000 watts at 120/240V at 60Hz.

The WCDE-4-6X150LTL-LED mobile light tower, with a three-cylinder motor, is a direct replacement for metal halide light plants. It is trailer mounted with a generator set that comes equipped with a 30-gallon fuel tank that can run without refueling for up to 120 consecutive hours.

Rockwell Automation has updated its process safety logic-solver platforms to maximize uptime for industrial producers who want to help ensure compliance with the latest safety requirements. As companies face increasingly demanding process safety applications — whether a new installation or part of managing the installed base of legacy systems — the AADvance fault-tolerant system and Trusted fault-tolerant system utilizing the common SIS Workstation software help producers meet the requirements of their process safety functions.

They also maximize uptime through increased scalability, communication and resiliency features. All systems are compliant with the IEC 61508 functional safety standard.
