New products from Balluff, Datum, Hoffmann+Kripner, Red Lion and Yaskawa.
Balluff Proximity Sensors
Balluff has introduced a family of proximity sensors designed to provide non-contact object detection in ambient temperatures up to 230 °C. This level of protection is required for hot metal stamping, glass manufacturing, steel and aluminum manufacturing, steel forging, steam curing and other high-temp processes.
The electronic amplifier portion of the sensor is located at the far end of the five-meter connector cable. The cable jacket and insulation, made from heat-resistant PTFE, is specified to withstand the same temperature as the sensor head.

Datum Bolt-On Strain Sensors
Datum has launched its latest Bolt-on sensor, the “469” series model. The sensor is built to measure stress and load across all types of vehicle axles; measure stresses upon vehicle structures (subjected to load, bending and similar situations encountered in a multitude of applications); and withstand the sometimes dynamic forces encountered under such applications during and under live on and off road conditions.

Hoffmann+Krippner Ultrasonic Sensor
Hoffmann+Krippner has announced the availability of the model P53-80-D18. This 45mm-long and 18mm-diameter ultrasonic sensor is designed for use in harsh environmental conditions as well as in hygienic applications.
Due to a housing construction made of V4A stainless steel (1.4404) with a roughness depth of 0.6μm, the P53 STEEL HEAD is suited for use in harsh environments featuring dust, moisture and water vapor.

Red Lion Protocol Converters
Red Lion has unveiled its DA10D and DA30D Protocol Conversion and Data Acquisition devices. Unlike other gateways or protocol converters that rely on complicated scripting or additional server hardware to connect to enterprise systems, the DA10D and DA30D provide connectivity options in a simple-to-use configuration environment, allowing users to quickly unlock data in orphaned or legacy equipment.

Yaskawa Digital Product Configurator of Servo Motor 3D Part Models
Yaskawa has released its digital product catalog of servo motors and motion control products. The tool enables engineers to find, configure and download a 3D part model of servo motors directly from the company’s website.
With over 100 CAD formats to choose from, as well as configured 3D PDF data sheets, the catalog simplifies the engineering process from start to finish, freeing time for users and Yaskawa’s engineers alike.
